Unrivaled in his presence on stage, singer and songwriter Carlos Cavazos, Zeus. El Mero Necio (aka Carlton Zeus), is the Tejano rapper and hip hop star ready to take the stage at your festival, concert, or venue.

Originally from Brownsville and based in San Antonio, Texas, Zeus was influenced by Tejanos’ greatest hits, from artists such as El Grupo Mazz, Vicente Fernandez, and Selena Quintanilla. On top of the Tejano influence. Zeus listened to and soaked up a passion for lyrical poetry from the likes of Jay-Z. Notorious BIG, Andre 3000, and Michael Jackson.

Now Zeus performs across the country under Blue Mariachi Productions, a new label founded by Chris Perez of “Los Dinos.” From working with fellow veterans to produce BaseFEST to packing venues across the Lone Star State, Zeus drives every crowd wild with his genre-melting sound and Tejano charm - an instant festival favorite. Zeus has performed alongside acts such as Imagine Dragons, Dojo Cat, Deftones, MGK, Lil Dicky, Logic, Alessia Cara, Luis Fonsi, Big Sean, and more.
